THOUGHTS FROM OUR FOUNDER
Let’s face it, life is busy. Arguably too busy. And juggling work, exercise, meal planning, groceries, cooking, self-care, making memories with kids, seeing family and friends and relaxing somewhere in there too is hard enough – but then you also have a whole house to clean, and to clean again, and again and again and it never ends.
I found a whole new level of inner peace when I accepted that my whole house is never going to be completely clean at once. Never. Even before having a child, this was unattainable for me, because I would rather live my life than spend it cleaning. But in saying that, a clean home for me equals a clear mind and I genuinely enjoy my home reset rituals.
I will almost aways dedicate part of my Friday, Saturday or Sunday to cleaning and it depends on what else is happening as to whether I dedicate 1, 2, or 3 hours. This is my personal checklist for a quick clean on a busy weekend.
I hope it inspires you to devote your time to other things, and just do a quick clean this week. Good enough really is good enough sometimes. You can always do a bigger clean next week / month!
Love, Cindy X
ONE HOUR SPEED HOME RESET
Task | Tick |
Start with a kitchen clean as first priority. |
|
Then move onto the most used bathroom (just the sink, mirror and toilet). It’s tempting, but leave the shower – you can clean that one night this week while your conditioner is in your hair. |

Then move onto the most used bathroom (just the sink, mirror and toilet). It’s tempting, but leave the shower – you can clean that one night this week while your conditioner is in your hair. |
|
Move onto the second most used bathroom (again, just the sink, mirror and toilet). |
|
Tidy as much as you can before the next step. Put items away, ensure all the floors are clear and if you have to, put items or clean laundry baskets in the "deal with it later cupboard or room." |
|
Vacuum and mop the floors. If your home is quite big, you'll want to prioritise the main areas and main rooms. Everything else can wait. |

Pat yourself on the back for a job well done and go and make some special memories! |
