Did you know that our world has a finite amount of resources, and if we maintain our current levels of consumption and waste production, we will not be able to live the way we do today. In fact, with projected population growth, by 2050 we would require nearly three planets worth of resources to sustain our current way of life.
As defined by the CSIRO, a circular economy aims to sustainably reuse materials through reusing, repurposing, recycling and remanufacturing” and it is this revolutionary shift in our consumption habits that is needed to start making an impact now.
Embracing the principles of a circular economy not only benefits society but also plays a crucial role in reducing waste and preserving our precious resources for future generations.
Adopting reusable packaging is one of the fundamental drivers of a circular economy for plastic and one of the most effective ways of tackling packaging waste. By opting for reusable packaging we keep valuable materials in circulation, preserving their energy and worth. This not only curbs waste and pollution but also plays a significant role in cutting down greenhouse gas emissions.
By redefining the way we store our home and personal care products, reusing and refilling Améli Home vessels and eliminating single use plastics, we are taking immediate, impactful action, and as we know, the outcome of tomorrow starts with the changes we make today.
Through our dedication to sustainable style and conscious living, we hope to shine a light on the power of responsible consumption and share the many ways we can make this universal concept work within the walls of our own home.
